Problems with USB XMOS on Linux Ubuntu 14.04LTS

Post by crblade »

Hi,

I bought a dac/amp equipped with USB XMOS (Audeze Deckard) and I'm trying to follow the instructions on this website:(http://www.xcore.com/questions/1973/how ... ux-develop...)

I use Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (kernel 3.13.0-63 generic): it recognizes the DAC but does not play sound. (Tested with Audacious and DeaDBeeF).

If I do "dmesg" I get this:  idVendor=20b1     IdProduct=3054

Is it necessary to put these values into the lines of "rules" when the text file "etc / udev / rules.d / 99-xmos.rules" is written? ... Or just a copy and paste is done?

Another problem: when I give the command "sudo gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/99-xmos.rules" shell returns me this:

(gedit:9030): Gtk-WARNING **: Calling Inhibit failed: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files

I've copied the binary file "xftd2xx.1.dll" into the "lib directory," which was given to me by support XMOS.com, but the DAC does not work in Ubuntu.

What can I do? Where am I mistaken?

Thank you,

Claudio
