xCORE-200-Multichannel-Audio-Platform boot source

Post by Dmil »

XE216-512-TQ128-Datasheet_1.6.pdf, "8 Boot Procedure" says that boot source depends on X0D06 X0D05 X0D04.

Pull-up 1K resistor on SPI_CS and internal pull-down resistors on X0D06 X0D05 X0D04 make MPU starts from QSPI Flash. Is this true?

To start from xSYS X0D06 must be 1.

XS1 series has MODE2 MODE3 pins is connected to xSYS pin3 to choose boot source.

But I don't see any connections on schematic in
xCORE-200-Multichannel-Audio-Platform-2V0-Hardware-Manual_1.3.pdf.

How is this works? For example, how to write empty FLASH ROM?

X0D06 X0D05 X0D04 set to low causes boot from flash (on the audio board this lines are connected to Quad-SPI flash data lines), note the internal pull-downs in the xCORE.

xCORE-200 doesn't need pins to set "JTAG boot" - the boot mode can be set by JTAG. The XTAG sets a bit in the JTAG chain and resets the device.
