I would recommend using any lastest xCORE-200 device with USB.

Just reading an old XMOS guide line about the maximal core performance
As for 768kHz Stereo & 32 bit I2C ... Periode Samples / Core MIP's
means for X200 or 125 Mip's we get as maximal of 81 instructions, means not that much to feed out 64 data & clock..
In other words we need for this may a X400 core...
