Everything is in place to update xcore.com as said.

ie. Move the projects and groups to the forum, drop Drupal, upgrade phpBB 3.0 -> 3.1, so that xcore.com will then look as shown at new.xcore.com

The update will only take a few minutes, so I will do this update this Thursday at 12pm

Let me know if you have any objections, or if have missed something important in new.xcore.com that you want me to include in the update.

This is great!

One question: will urls to old posts be valid? I have quite some of them in my blog note. Also, there would be some of them in the posts here, pointing to each other?

Is there a possibility of getting a similar active/recent posts front page, or quick access to it. It's much easier considering how many different forums and sub forums there are that would need to be sifted through otherwise. However, when looking for an old post that same number of forums is helpful so I don't want to see it go away.

@aclassifier Yes, your old links will still work. The only thing that will change is /forum/ path dissappears.
ie. http://www.xcore.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=5156
becomes http://www.xcore.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=5156
but I will put redirects in place on xcore.com so that you won't have to change your links.
And the projects and groups will redirect to their new location within the forum, so no external links will need to be changed

@Gothmag It's possible to view the active topic and recent topics using the quick menu in the top left, just below the logo. But I will look at putting in a right-hand column on the front page and putting the active and recent topics there instead, so that it's immediately visible.

As you may all have already seen. The xcore.com site has been updated now.

The projects have been moved to http://www.xcore.com/viewforum.php?f=21
and groups have been moved to http://www.xcore.com/viewforum.php?f=49
There are url redirects in place so external links to these projects and groups will continue to work.

I will look at enhancing the site further with a recent and active topic block in the frontpage. (I'll make a right-hand column for it)
I'll first see it design-wise it will work. I'll test it out first on new.xcore.com and then check for feedback

Hi There!

So erm, what happened to the projects? I understand the 'new' way will be to just attach them and what not I loved the ability to browse through projects. I understand 99% of the people use the forum more than anything but there's quite a lot of information in the projects as well...

The projects have been moved into the forum here http://www.xcore.com/viewforum.php?f=21.
The Projects forum is the first one in the Other section, below Technical Discussions.

For example: http://old.xcore.com/projects/kicad_xmos has been moved to http://www.xcore.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=5441.
There are redirects in place so if you go to http://www.xcore.com/projects/kicad_xmos you will be redirected to its new location within the forum.

If you prefer you can still go to http://old.xcore.com/projects to browse and download projects, but that site is an archive, not to be updated.

Are you talking about the quick links menu at the top left of the page below the logo?
Seems to work fine for me...

No menu press is taken. This quick edit responds with a red frame, but nothing else. Blocking or allowing pop-ups makes no difference. Same for info capsules. I have iOS 10.2.1.

Summary: I can only read the pages.
