This is an example of how to simulate an engine crankshaft and camshaft hall effect sensor signal using the XMOS XK-1A Development Kit. It has been used to verify a DSpace engine control system. It is nice to be able to quickly generate errors and check how they are evaluated. There is a stub in the code that could also be used to simulate ignition and injector timing. Similar concepts could be used to perform evaluation of an actual camshaft and crankshaft signal.
