XTimeComposer installation issues

I have downloaded the community version of XTimeComposed. First I tried with the latest version 14.x and later with 13.x.

I am on Ubuntu 16.04 with Java 8, on 64 bit hardware. The issue is when I launch XTimeComposer it starts but the font is not renedered. Consequently, I only see boxes. I am attaching the screen-shot of the same to give you an idea of the problem.

Thanks Johned this solved the issue. But I am not able to get the welcome page as given in the documentation. Do I need to do any further configuration?

You're very welcome.
The welcome screen has changed in the latest tools so you do not need to do anything else.
