3D printed case for xcore-200 explorer kit

Post by CousinItt »

I needed a case for the explorer kit and couldn't find one, so thought I'd knock one up. See attachments. I'm not sure of the best place to put the design files. Thingiverse might do, but if anyone has any better suggestions please let me know.

The case gives access to J1 and J3 with recesses that I hope won't be too deep. The upper surface of the case is level with the top of the Magjack. There are windows for the user LEDs and the input power LED, and buttons for the reset and user tactile switches. The case is held together with four M3 x 15 mm screws and plain nuts. It was designed using FreeCAD.

If xmos wants to send me an xcore.ai kit, I'll happily make a similar one for it :o)

Great looking case! I'll definitely be printing one.

XMOS, please send CousinItt an xcore.ai dev kit. I really hope they become available to the general public soon.

Let me know if you have any problems. It's easy to tweak. Good luck!
