I have the xk-evk-xu316 board and I am trying the example application under lib_xua ,AN00246_xua_example I was able to build successfully om my MacOS , but when I run a test I get : Error: AudioQueueStart failed (0xe00002ed) any idea about this error??

What program are you using to play the audio?

I would grab the USB Audio reference design download from xmos.com and try the precompiled binary for that board on your system before running custom code.
