XTAG-2 with USB1.0

Post by amninder »

Has anybody used XTAG-2 with USB 1.0 for debugging? I was reading the user guide and it says that "The XTAG-2 debug adapter converts between an XMOS XSYS connector and USB 2.0" .

So, I was wondering if having USB 2.0 drivers is a must requirement for using XTAG or can it work with USB 1.0 too as my target audio device(XMOS based) is USB 1.0 compatible only?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

xTAG-2 debug adapter uses USB2.0 to communicate with 'the host'.

The target device uses audio-class specific driver to communicate with the host. In this case, does the target device (XMOS based USB1.0) need to use the xTAG-2 for its audio functionality other than debug?

Hi, thank you for patience.

Can you mention the host platform? does your host list the xTAG properly (xrun -l)? or facing any issue while you try to run the program?

Any error trace will be helpful.

PS: if you check XTAG-2, its enumerated as vendor-specific, bulk ep, with USB 2.0 compatibility.
