I received the "USB Multi Channel Audio U16 Platform" kit today and I am trying to connect them to my PC to play audio and I am having some issues where the windows media player is unable to play any music using this XMOS kit.
I did the following steps for the setup:
1) Opened the kit and connected the USB and Audio 8 slice module to the U16 eval board.
2) Then I installed the USB2.0 drivers and they appear to be detect the HW in device manager as XMOS XS1-U16
3) Then I changed the settings in control panel to use XMOS kit as default audio device.
4) Then I tried to play a song in windows player and it doesn’t work showing me this error:"Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file"
Has anybody encountered the same issues with XMOS U16 multi-channel kit and can share his/her eperience to resolve this?

I finally found the root cause. There is jumper ,J14,on the X16 board that needs to be set to ALT position instead of DIA position which is default.
The board is working now and I can listen to the audio played on my windows PC.
