Hi,
I got the XMOS U16 Multi Channel Audio kit for evaluation and it has 4 "Line Out"s to support 8 audio channels.
I connected the kit to PC via USB and installed the Thesycon USB 2.0 Audio drivers to test higher audio rates.
I was able to play music on my PC and listen the stereo sound by connecting my earphones to Line Out 1 connector on kit. It worked fine.
However, I was wondering how can we check or evaluate multi channel audio on this kit? Is there a way we can stream multiple audio channels over the USB from PC to the XMOS device and then route them to different 'Line Out's for listening?
Has anybody tried to test multiple channels (> stereo) using this kit? Is it even possible to do it using windows PC over USB?
Regards
Amninder

You may use a program like Foobar to play multichannel tracks (Audacity only plays back in stereo mix and cannot be used for this purpose). Alternatively, adjusting the speaker configuration in Windows (for example, highlighting the XMOS device in the Windows 7 Playback Devices menu and pressing the Configure button) allows you to test each channel.
We use Audio Precision hardware heavily in my organization; the APx500 software has a handy ASIO playback and record interface. We use APx hardware extensively to test USB-to-I2S bridges.

How seen 4 channels for OS?
Is this 4 separate stereo devices or one device with 4 streams?
