1. in xmos_mixer: AUD and DAW
2. in firmware sources: IAP or iAP

Will take a logic stab at the abbreviations:
AUD : audio
DAW : Digital Audio Workstation - had to look this one up:

IAP / iAP : In application programming - simply put, the program which is running is able to modify / extend / reflash the executable code. Have to proceed with caution on this topic as the process can "brick" your box (lock you out of the system till you use external tools to correct the boot flash code).
