I've decided to go for xmos, which dev board to get?

Post by alexanderbrevig »

Hi everyone!

I'm a programmer and an electronics engineer. For a few years I've had an idea for a project I want to do; basically it is an adaptive filter for an audio stream.

I've looked at either of these two:
  • XK-AUDIO-216-MC-AB
  • XK-USB-AUDIO-U16-MC-AB
I need four inputs and two outputs and enough memory (and speed) to do decent FIR / FFT (I've not decided where to do the filter, may be better for FFT).

I apologise for probably not giving you enough information. Any and all feedback welcome! Ask me questions and I'll answer/clarify.

Best, Alexander

Please use the XK-AUDIO-216-MC-AB board.  This reference design is based on the latest xCORE-200 (XS2) microcontroller.  It has got 512 KB (256 + 256) memory, good enough to do FFT, filtering etc.
