XHRA-2HPA-TQ64 and Eval board

Post by itongx »

Hello,

I have few question about http://www.xmos.com/products/silicon/xcore-audio/hires and it's reference design board. I also finished reading through related documents
  1. Is this processor preprogramed firmware from this link http://www.xmos.com/published/xhra-2hpa-firmware-binary and I don't need this file from reprogramed or reconfig to flash memory ?
  2. Can I reprogram processor / flash with DFU by using Thesycon driver refered to document No. XM000524A.
  3. I use xCORE-AUDIO-configuration-utility_1.0.0 to build config image so I need to manual flash this to flash memory @ address 0x80000 or can flash via DFU , but seem file size from this utility is difference from xCORE-AUDIO Hi-Res 2 Firmware Image.
  4. In the configuration maunal did't talk about how to use GPI can I use input of GPI to control GPO output ?

Thank in advance :)

Thod K.

Hi There,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The Hi-Res board can be programmed using the configuration utility available on the Hi-Res download page : https://www.xmos.com/support/boards?product=18340. You can then use DFU via the Thesycon driver to update the firmware.

If you need to program a device for functionality beyond what is available with the configuration utility then you will need to use one of our xCORE-200 devices and the USB Audio Firmware : https://www.xmos.com/support/boards?product=18334.

All the best,

John
