Hi,
We have a working XMOS usb dac (PCM, NATIVE, DOP working fine). It works fine with windows pc and macbooks (without drivers).
We have bougt an Auralic ARIES LE streamer. It recognizes the xmos usb dac, but won't play anything, I get this message; Unable to open output device: xCore USB Audio 2.0. We do use the XS1-L8A-64-TQ48-C5
When I connect the Multifunction USB audio platform the auralic plays fine.
Do you have any idea where to look?
Thanks,
JW

You need to speak to them for support really.
A USB bus trace might give something to go on. Is DSD enabled on the XMOS MFA?

OK, I've asked them too, i'm still waiting for an answer. Yes, DSD is enabled on the XMOS.

Hi all,
I'm sorry for replying late, but I did found the problem. When changing the max_freq in customdefines.h from 768000 to 384000 it worked immediately. This also made the USB-Xmos work on all other Linux based platforms (raspberry). I would like to keep the highest samplerate because I can play DSD128 and DSD256 with my hardware.
We're using the XS1-L8A-64-TQ48-C5.
Can you please help me solving this issue? 768000 works fine on windows but not on Linux...
Best regards,
Jan-Willem
