Minimum Microphone Geometrics

I found to some Microphone Geometrics.
I use XK-VF3100-C43 developing kit and run a few example.

follow the "CORE VocalFusion Fine Tuning Guide" documents, in "module_beclear_conf" file,
change the XBECLEAR_MIC_GEO. Here is the Question.

1) exist Minimum Mic to Mic distance
2) is it possible in square geometrics. ex) 0,0,0 \ 45, 0, 0 \ 45, 45, 0\ 0,45,0\
