Hi all
Hope everyone had a good xmas and Happy New Year (in a few days time).
I couldn't find anything searching on Ubuntu hence new post.
I've had this device for about 3 years. It provides high quality sound into my osund system over fibre,
Was working fine on all platforms, including various generations of Ubuntu with no driver software required - until recently.
The device also works fine as Analog and Digital output on the Windows 11 laptop I have to use for work.
Still works fine on an ASUS running Uguntu 24.04.1 LTS.
But on my HP Z-book running Ubuntu 24.10 I can see the device but no sound. Sound test indicates sound being sent to the device but no audio.
Bus 003 Device 005: ID 20b1:0008 XMOS Ltd HIFI DSD
I've checked that mute is not active.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Heya,
Sounds like this is an issue with a product rather than an xmos dev board?
(what product is it out of interest? Looks like they are using an un-authorised VID and PID pairing)
